Many computer problems
thought to be hardware-related often turn out to be software or LAN
problems. At the time of initial contact the technician will try to
determine this. However, this may not always be possible.
If you request that Mitt Technology tries to resolve a software or
LAN-related problem, you are required to provide the Mitt Technology
technician with a
Computer & Network Repair & Installation Service Waiver signed by your
departmental manager, computer support coordinator (CSC), or owner of the
company.
It is strongly recommended
that this form be signed in advance of all work so that the Mitt Technology
technician is able to resolve all problems in a timely and cost effective
manner. This waiver form can be obtained online by
clicking here or by call 630.479.1575 and requesting that a
Computer & Network Repair & Installation Service Waiver be faxed over
to you.
If the technician arrives to
find a software or LAN network problem and a signed waiver form is not
provided, the technician will not be able to proceed with work and the
one-hour minimum charge of $85 will still apply.
Should the problem turn out to be a Wide Area Network (WAN) problem, Mitt
Technology technician will offer to place a claim-call to our Wide Area
Network (WAN) Services Department on behalf of the customer, but will not
be able to proceed in trying to resolve the problem. As stated above, the
technician will attempt to determine this during the initial phone call,
but this may not always be possible. A one-hour minimum charge of $85 will
still apply.
